Quintessential Western Fun

Are you ever closer to the true essence of Wyoming than when you’re shoulder to shoulder with your friends and neighbors, tapping your toe to the irresistible beat of a hoppin’ band? Or maybe cheering for those eight long seconds while a brave bull rider clings to a whirling, leaping beast? Well, we don’t think so. That’s why we’re proud to sponsor some of the summer’s most genuine and community-driven events across the state. Mark your calendars now, and be sure to get in on all the family-friendly fun that these festivities have to offer!

Lander Presents

An initiative to bring live music, film, and events to audiences in the foothills of the Wind River Range, Lander Presents is a diverse showcase of talented, passionate folks. Kicking off on the evening of June 23rd, the 2022 season includes four don’t-miss musical showcases: the Lil’ Smokies, Thee Sacred Souls, Liz Cooper, and Futurebirds.

Launched in 2015, Lander Presents is a free series with a vision of bringing top-caliber musicians, dancers, filmmakers, and more to Wyoming. This outdoor, family-friendly event is the perfect chance to kick off your shoes, dance in the grass, and who knows? Maybe even make a new friend or two!

Teton County Fair

Kicking off in Jackson Hole on July 23, the 66th Annual Teton County Fair is a celebration of the area’s unique heritage. It’s a fun-filled week that includes a wide array of activities, competitions, and plenty of delicious treats!

The Blue Ribbon Exhibit Hall is packed with crafts, hand-crafted foods, art, and more — made by locals of all ages hoping to take home the elusive Blue Ribbon for their effort. Nearby, the Heritage Arena is bustling with 4-H Livestock of all species, from pigs and sheep to rabbits and poultry. Horse shows, dog shows, a pie-eating contest, a “diaper derby” for the crawlers — you’ll find all this and more under the Big Top Tent, in addition to live music and enthralling presentations.

Of course, what’s an evening at the fair without a visit to the carnival? When you’ve wrapped up your ride on the iconic Ferris Wheel (or The Zipper, if that’s your style), swing over to the Rodeo Grounds and catch one of the exciting events including the Fair Rodeo, Figure 8 Races, Pig Wrestling, and plenty of other fun. We can hardly wait! Save us a funnel cake!

Cheyenne Frontier Days

If you happen to be on the other side of the state and can’t make it to the Teton County Fair, don’t worry — the same week hosts Cheyenne Frontier Days! Boasting an impressive lineup of live music — Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Parker McCollum, Kid Rock, Brooks & Dunn included — and one of the West’s most celebrated rodeos, Frontier Days is a classic Wyoming don’t-miss event.

The week also includes a variety of other events celebrating Wyoming’s Western heritage. An Art Show & Sale showcases beautiful interpretations of the Cowboy State, the Chuckwagon Experience invites you to tuck into Cowboy-style cuisine, and the Chuckwagon Cookoff welcomes competitors to show off their own open-fire cooking skills. Enjoy the Grand Parade, learn about rich Indigenous culture, go a bit wild at the bustling carnival, and be wowed by the USAF Thunderbirds flyover.

Plenty of music, food, and family-friendly fun is to be had at Cheyenne Frontier Days. It’s certainly a celebration that will have you coming back year after year. Saddle up, cowboys and cowgirls — we’ll see you there!
