Funding Interests & Grant Process

Our philanthropy is focused on supporting the poor, hungry, oppressed, housing insecure, veterans, women, children, and Indigenous communities. Our priority is supporting social service organizations in the realms of domestic violence, foster care, adults with disabilities, community health and wellbeing, food insecurity, single mothers, and at-risk youth programming. We believe in funding organizations and projects who are working to help those caught in the “impact zone” through meeting basic needs and empowering individuals and families to thrive.

The Hughes Charitable Foundation offers grant applications by invitation only.
We do not accept unsolicited applications.

The Hughes Charitable Foundation invests in programs that cultivate dignity and seek to soften – and thus strengthen – hearts hardened by difficult circumstances. With humility, a commitment to deep listening, and a belief in our responsibility to give back, we seek to support people and projects that enhance community wellbeing.
