“A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees.” - Amelia Earhart
The second annual Love Your Neighbor Challenge (#HughesLYNC) proved to be another success, spreading love, kindness, and good will all across Wyoming. We were thrilled to see all the wonderful ways in which people gave their time and effort to help out one another in their community. All this kindness absolutely fills our hearts!
Check out a handful of the thoughtful and inspiring examples of kindness below. To see all of the entries, follow us on Facebook and Instagram — we’re proud to showcase these powerful acts of kindness. Some fun examples from our #HughesLYNC Participants include:
The CyberWyoming Alliance staff and board members donated their time to the Eppson Center for Seniors to help with laptop, tablet, and phone technical issues (photo above).
A hard working community member cleaned up Undine Park in Laramie, and after removing 2 trash buckets of dog poop, the park is now ready for spring and all Laramigos to enjoy!
And our furry friends were shown some love when groups in various communities either made (by hand!) or gathered up dog beds, blankets, and toys for K9s for Mobility, The Dog & Cat Shelter, and Second Chance Cat Rescue!
“It’s amazing to see communities across Wyoming taking part in the Love Your Neighbor Challenge – that’s really what it’s all about, seeing just how far the ripples or roots of kindness can reach,” explains Molly Hughes, Executive Director of the Hughes Charitable Foundation. “But the wonderful surprise as we looked through each heartfelt challenge entry was seeing all the smiling faces of participants, looks of true joy as they went through the experience of helping and loving their neighbors.”
We love to see kindness grow and spread! To help keep the ball rolling, the Hughes Charitable Foundation is donating $1,000 to each nonprofit chosen by EVERY Love Your Neighbor Challenge participant… that’s a whole lot of good rippling throughout Wyoming.
How will you keep the momentum going?
